04/01/2006 - VH, IL - Peter Manhard to serve on Board of Directors of Lake County Transportation Alliance
Peter Manhard, VP, has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Lake County Transportation Alliance. The mission of the Lake County Transportation Alliance is to sustain and enhance Lake County's high quality of life and pursue a course of action that benefits the community (i.e. quality job retention and creation, capital investment, economic diversity and promote integrated land use and infra-structure planning to stimulate sustainable economic growth). The Corporation will convene the public/private sectors to develop and implement short and long-term transportation goals and objectives that leverage local, county, state, federal and private resources to mitigate the congestion impacting Lake County's residents and businesses. LCTA's area of interest includes highways, commuter rail, bus transit, rail freight and air service.
The Board of Directors meets quarterly and manages the business and affairs of the Lake County Transportation Alliance.
