UTILITY SCALE

CONFIDENTIAL UTILITY SCALE PV PROJECT

Manhard Consulting provided services for a 150MW single-axis tracker, utility scale solar field located on approximately 1,400 acres in northeastern, Texas.

Critical to the project was the preparation of an ALTA survey and analysis of subsurface mineral estate relationship to surface survey to accurately define the boundaries of the project and provide essential information for site planning and design.  Additional services included wetland delineation, threatened and endangered species review, and historic preservation review.

Management of these external teams was crucial to the successful Development Certificate Filing with the county by Manhard.

BIG HOLLOW SOLAR FARM

Big Hollow Solar Farm is a 2MW fixed tilt solar array that services Big Hollow Elementary and Middle Schools in Lake County, IL that provides clean energy to the students and staff.

Manhard provided surveying, engineering and landscape design services while navigating the project from a conceptual idea through construction.  With this type of project being new to unincorporated Lake County, the Manhard team worked with public agency stakeholders to establish a process for special use and permitting approvals, which included presenting 2D and 3D visualization studies from the public way and adjacent properties.

Additionally, on-site floodplain and wetland challenges required Manhard’s in-depth understanding of corresponding rules and regulations to adjust the array and maintain the necessary site coverage.
